Medicinal Food – Tucson Acupuncture

By Juan Tejada | July 28, 2010

Food is around us everywhere but we have forgotten how to harvest this bounty. The fruit of most cactuses are eatable and the pads of the prickly pear (once prepared are called NOPALITOS) are great as a vegetable and especially delicious with eggs for breakfast. These delicacies are also medicinal and the original people from this area used to harvest and enjoy them as food. Do you want to try nopalitos? Click here to learn how to prepare them!
